Interaction Design & Site Architecture
More than just pretty graphics...
Getting users to your site can take a lot of effort. So once they are there, you need to ensure that your site offers them a reason to stay and most importantly, a reason to convert. Convert? Become a lead, become a sale, become a newsletter subscriber...whatever your goal is for your users, your site's "conversion architecture" should support those goals.
User-friendly design
Two goals of any website are to keep the visitor on the site for as long as possible and to keep the visitor coming back. One way to ensure this is by keeping the user's visit productive and trouble free. It is important to remember that competition online is fierce and attention to every detail helps stop the user from hitting the browser's "Back" button.
When we design client websites we always try to focus on simplicity of design and simplicity of navigation. Every page of the site should have a goal that you want the user to achieve, whether it be commenting on a blog, buying a product, or asking you for more information.
Logical and sustainable site architecture
How your site content is structured is important on several levels. First off, a well structured site means your site visitors can easily find what they need, which will probably make them happy. Additionally, a well structured website also makes it easy for search engine spiders to find your content, thus giving you a better opportunity to rank well for your target keywords, which will probably make you happy.
When we go about creating or re-working website architecture, we come at from both angles. We keep site structure as shallow as possible and as logical as possible for both human site visitors and robots and spiders as well. This duality in our skillset makes us a quality choice for web design projects large and small.
